It works for Amazon. I guess they just want to try and get a slice of that.
Yes and no, the market still basically exists in the warehouse website. The dumb thing they did was putting the market on the warehouse which undermined their reason to exist and ruined the warehouse site in one decision.
Mighty ape is now also a market place and that's not worked too well for them either, but again it's more what kogan did to the site than the marketplace existing.
Does feel like marketplaces here are poorly conceived and implemented by most who attempted it.
Hopefully it's better than the other Market offerings we have seen from NZ retailers over the past few years.
Hmmm, should be an interesting watch. Fingers crossed they intice a customer base with epic codes and discounts. Excellent find Wakrak.
Up and running now
Looks like it will be the same sellers as market, warehouse, mightyape etc..
Also see there is a page for onepass; https://www.bunnings.co.nz/onepass - I wonder what other sites will be bundled to this onepass aside from Kmart.
I like how Bunnings T&Cs first tell me that products on Bunnings Marketplace are sold by "Trusted Sellers", and then clearly state that if anything goes wrong it has nothing to do with them — it's almost as though they don't trust their "Trusted Suppliers"
And based on the application process for selling there is laughably easy to sign up for. Easier than than people who sell those high qualify, never misrepresented products in Temu…
Its basically what The Market tried doing, which just turned into a huge mess
