  • Why is the setup fee different depending on the speed? Isn't it all going through the same cables?

    • Because you already have the ONT installed and there in nothing to setup.
It's like the booking fee/convenience fee where they just want a little bit extra because they can.

  • Nevermind. Static ip

  • Does anyone know if these guys used CGNAT for their static IP? So many companies do and don't tell you, makes the static IP worthless

  • Setup Fee is a SCAM!
Having worked for an ISP, can confirm it's is a made up charge.
Plus no discount on the actual monthly price makes it a pretty limp deal.
No Thanks, will stay with SKY.

    • It looks like they're using the setup fee as a marketing/customer retention tool, they have a thing where they give you the setup fee back as account credit, 50% after 12 months and the other 50% after 24 months, so if you're a gullible person who falls for marketing bs like this and doesn't know that Broadbandcompare exists then you might think that this is a good deal.

  • They charge a connection fee and their plans are still more expensive than other companies comparable plans that don't charge any connection fee… what the F?

  • 50% off the extortionate rate is still extortion. What does FARO offer that justifies the insanely high pricing and setup fee? Do you come to my house and setup and configure everything in person? That's what I'd expect for that setup fee.

  • Not a deal. Setup fee is more expensive than competition, even after the 50% discount. Monthly price isn't particularly competitive either.

Also: Please can you publish whether your service uses CG-NAT? Maybe I missed it on your site, but I wished ISPs made this clearer.
