Two family members are going soon and I happened to notice the booking discount code on their homepage.

The Catnap mission is to provide a safe, fun and relaxing environment where cats and people can enjoy each other’s company and to find homes for rescue cats. We are essentially a big foster home for rescue cats and kittens to be socialised and adopted 😸

We have a partnership with local rescue organisation Cat Rescue Christchurch and generally we have around 15-18 cats at a time. We also offer great coffee and delicious sweet treats 🧁

We run sessions by the hour in the cat area and the cost is $18 per person for 55 minutes with the cats. Food and drinks can be purchased separately.

  Massive upvote and shout out the the guys at Catnap. It's a really magival place for cat lovers and rescue cats alike.

  A wonderful example of a cat cafe run ethically, where the well being of the cats is front and centre.

  Other Cat Cafe's I highly rate are:

  Auckland's Purrs and Beans Cat Cafe, in Birkenhead is an amazing experience. A non profit with the friendliest rescue cats I've ever met in a Cat cafe setting.

  And in Wellington Neko Ngeru Cat Cafe Hutt Central is a great spot to get in some cat destress time.
