  • Who actually pays $7 for one of those blocks when they are regularly price rotated to 50% off

    • You'd be surprised at human laziness

    • Probably the same people that buy drinks and snacks from a dairy or petrol station when theres a supermarket just down the road at half the price

    • Ohh, I saw someone posted a uber eats receipt for a pack of Oreo for $3.20 which I bought for 69c a couple of days before…haha

  • These are always amazing.

If anyone needed the comparison, the huggies boxes were $27 recently with paknsave. On rebate at costco (double the size) until end of month, taking size 3 for example, 28.8c per nappy compared to the above Woolworths 29.9c (but of course need to factor in costco membership and petrol and time to drive to costco). Though another issue is Woolworths/New World only ever put a couple of boxes on the shelves to stop you stocking up. I guess you could order online.

    • DYK if price applies to all sizes ?

      • Jumbo refers to the quantity in the box, not the nappy size.

        So yes, all sizes.

    • We now have a year and a half of experience with nappies and still I couldn't tell you if any brand is better than another, so have to assume they're all identical.

So we buy whatever is cheapest.

Cheapest for Size 4 is usually like 29-33c at Pak'N'Save (between Pams and some other brand) which makes this a reasonable price for Huggies, but eh, I still wouldn't buy them at 37c each.

      • Treasures pull ups are the other nappies we use, so much cheaper when on sale (33c for size 4) compared to huggies pull ups, but don't tend to leak more, so was using it for daycare, but huggies for overnight (this is for a boy).

      • We've tried a bunch of brands over the years and huggies is the best for us.

There's not much difference if it's just a number 1 and you're changing often, but for number 2's and overnight sleeping, we've found huggies to be a lifesaver. This is not to say all other brands are bad, but we have found differences.

  • Price beat the Huggies nappies at chemist warehouse, they beat the difference by 10%, currently not on sale ($44.99) so effectively $25 a box
