It looks like they only started production/shipping recently. Has anyone here got one, or owned any of their older models? If so, how is it for productivity/office use?
I'm considering getting one purely for productivity — I don't really intend to use it for gaming.
I currently use a Logitech MX Master 4, and while it's a great mouse, there's only so much you can customise through Logi Options+. The Swiftpoint Z3 looks like it takes customisation to another level.
My main concern is my work laptop. I can't install applications on it without admin rights. Technically, I could probably bypass that and give myself admin access using some exploits I know, but I'd rather not risk losing my job over a mouse.
I know the Swiftpoint can store up to 80 profiles in its onboard memory, but I'm wondering what the limitations are when using it without the software installed. For example, I'm assuming automatic profile switching would require the Swiftpoint software to be installed and running. But are there other features that won't work without the software? And how much of the configuration can actually be stored on the mouse itself?
Would really appreciate feedback from anyone who owns a Z3 or has used their older models, particularly for productivity/office use.
I have an older "Model 700" that I bought on a whim. It's sitting in a drawer. It was fine, although I didn't find a need for all the features. I just didn't need all those buttons.
The real reason I stopped using it was because it was uncomfortable in my left hand, which I like to do to prevent OOS (or RSI if you're older).
