Myself and my family will be travelling overseas for 3 months. So I was wondering if there's a really low daily charge plan out there or another scheme to follow? Will need electricity to keep the fridge running.
We're with contact atm. Last time we cut off the broadband and saved about 85/month. I asked them about gas as well but that was a bit complicated.

Why is the fridge critical? Likely anything in it will be no good after that long anyway. Can't you empty the fridge and just go off grid for 3 months? Paying nothing?
To answer you, google says https://www.naumaira.nz/ might have the lowest daily user charge.
PS. You're probably already onto it, but don't forget to turn off the water at the mains before you leave. Many learn this the hard way. Coming home to a house that has been flooding for days weeks or months ain't fun.
PPS: Have you looked into a short fixed term rental? Could get some coin having someone in your house for some or all of the time you are away.
