I am still rocking mx2 at work which I use once a week now. And mx3 at home is still solid

Just justify the purchase by telling yourself you need one for work and one for home. I can't be arsed putting the mouse in my bag and taking it out every time I need to go to the office. Or give your old one to your parents or friends.
The 4 is a lot nicer, the material they've used is different and doesn't leave fingerprints or stains around easily, which is an issue that I occasionally have with the older models.
Other than that, it's not a huge upgrade. I still have 2x MX Master 3s and 1x MX Master 3 that I use from time to time.
