    Really want to get a Bose or Sony, but not sure which one would be better. Mainly for flights noise cancellation purpose.

      If you have a local store try some demo units.
      When I was tossing up Bose QC and XM5s, i tried them at JB Hifis and I could feel and listen to my preference.

      I liked the XM4s, disliked the XM5s, went with the QCs end the end and took them on flight to Japan.
      It was my first time with noise cancellation on a flight, QoL improved so much!

      Oooh deal ends at midnight… ahhh… yeah…. my suggestion, wont work

        I tried the Bose QC before, they are really comfortable, but people were talking good on Sony XM6 a lot.
        I think I will take the Bose anyhow, seems lowest price this time.

      From what I've read, Bose wins for comfort, and Sony edges out for sound and NC

      I would recommend trying them out in person. I'd also recommend going to Reddit and other sites and read the complaints from users for both Sony and Bose and do your research.

      If you plan to wear it for long hours, especially on flights, I'd go with the Bose. They're lighter, more comfy, and doesn't have a strong clamping force that could give you a headache. Also, the ANC on the Sony has gotten worse over the years in my opinion. You used to be able to set the ANC level to what you want. Now, it's automatically adjusted, which sometimes may not be at a high level and can therefore be weak for some people. To clarify, you can switch between 3 different modes (ANC on/off and transparency). If you turn on ANC, you used to be able to set the maximum noise cancelling level in the app (20 different levels of adjustment). Now, that's gone and so if you turn on ANC, the headphone makes the adjustment automatically and dynamically in the background for you. Sometimes it's fine, other times it's not at a high level and sound from outside can still leak in.

      In terms of ANC, Sony is slightly better but not by much. You're talking like maybe 1~3% difference between the Ultra Gen 2 and the XM6. It's very hard to tell unless you have really sensitive ears.

      As someone who has owned both over the years, I'm currently settled with Bose. Right now, I found that the Sony WF earbuds suit me more than Bose, but the Bose headphones suit me more than Sony.

      I've tried both Sonys and Bose and ended up buying the Sonos Aces. They are extremely comfortable, well built and both sound and ANC are quite on par with the big brands. No regrets at all

      If cost wasn't a factor, I would go for the Sony. The call microphone for the Bose leaves a lot to be desired.
      Both are excellent though you won't regret it either way! (I am a Bose owner)

      Good noise cancellation and fit works well for my ears. I use the wind reduction setting.

          Its going to be a by user basis, its impossible for me to indicate what fitment will be like for you.
          They do come with additional sized tips, the default ones work for me

      Why go for budget ones if they're not that much cheaper? Go for a good one that can last years and you'd get better enjoyment and value out of them.

      I'd go with a WF-1000XM5 if you can. Saw them for $300 new a while ago. Used ones on FB Marketplace are even cheaper than that, probably $230 or around there is what I saw last time. And you can get Comply or SpinFit eartips that can fit small ear canals. Not to mention that Sony WFs come with different size eartips that you can try as well.

        If I lose them don't have to worry too much they are earbuds :)
        I have my xn4s overears for anything else just ear buds for work because of my hair lol
        I'd say like under $150 is my max ahah but thanks for the advice though:)

          Out of curiosity, do you lose your earbuds often? I've never lost mine—I just put them back in the charging case and then into my backpack as soon as I'm done using them. So I'm genuinely curious how they end up getting lost.

          If you have a WF or WH device, you could also track and find them with Google's Find My Device app.

          I ended up getting a pair of wired kz zsn pros off aliexpress that live attached to my dock at work. They were $20 on aliexpress and prefer the sound from them to my xm4 and being wired they just work all the time without faffing with Bluetooth or charging them, and they never go missing.

      I just got the Nothing Buds 2A (literally arrived yesterday). They were $30 off ali express and I’ve been very impressed with them so far for the price. They come with different size eartips too so you should be good size wise.
