  • Physical as in a case with a download code….yes, but not physical game disc. No physical discs for GTA 6 apparently…

      • Its cheaper, Xbox store is $140. You still get the same pre order bonuses for both.

      • Might not be everyone's cup of tea but with physical games, some people like to sell their games when they're finished…others like to purchase second hand games to save some money

        • There's no disc to resell is what they're saying. It's a code you redeem to your consoles account.

  • So no rebuying and reselling. That's a rather big downside.

  • Same price at jb hifi but at jb they guarantee that if the pre order price drops theyll give u cash back, plus can pick up. All reasons to go there and not TWH

Also if u get it sent warehouse postage is 8 vs jb 5

    • Can you explain this a bit further please?

      • I thought it was enough info, which bit are u unsure of? ill explain it more

      • If you buy it now for $119 and JB ends up dropping the price to $109, JB will refund you $10.

        • Yes I bought for $139 at 7am, had a refund of $20 by 9am. Delivery at JB is $4.95 too.

    • For those that still support MightyApe it's a $1 cheaper at $118, with free shipping for Primate members

      • Whats their non member shipping?

        • The website says $7.99

  • The only reason you might want this is its cheaper than the digital

    • Thats….. kinda the point of this website

      • Yeah, but i find it interesting people are buying this at all. Are they hoping the price wont go up or rockstar creating an artificial scarcity closer to the date?.

        • The price will probably go up to 139 as thats what the price was at a few stores today until the warehouse lowered theirs. And if you lock in a cheap price and change ya mind just cancel it and get ya money back, but if u miss the liwer price and it doesnt go low again…. u lose out

  • Good time to use the noels 20 off birthday voucher.

    • They're all over the place on their product page as to when you can get it 🙃

  • Delivery on a digital code? Are we going backwards in the world?

    • GTA has become what it used to satirise.

  • How is designing a cover printing a case printing a cover and printing a code then shipping it around the world, work out cheaper to make than digital..
    I'll never get Capitalism

    • Retailers probably don't take a 30% cut unlike Sony and Microsoft.

    • Some brick and mortar retailers use big new release videogames as loss leaders to attract customers away from the competition and build brand loyalty. Digital prices are set by the publishers and because PSN, Steam and Microsoft all take the same cut there's no incentive for publishers to drive customers toward any single digital store over another by discounting the product on a single storefront.

I guess that begs the question why Microsoft doesn't organize with publishers to waive the 30% fee on some new big releases so they can sell them for cheaper on their platform and maybe grab a few new customers in the process, but that's a whole other discussion.

      • The game releases shortly before Christmas, and 2K will want something in store shelves for people to buy as gifts.

        • We're talking about digital vs physical pricing of new release games.

    • hopefully it will come with a map like gta5 did on ps3.

  • This is annoying. I bought the disk version ps5 to play the snot out of a game then sell it on. Bummer.
Guess this is the route PS6 is gonna take fully digital.

  • Know if you can cancel preorders if you find it cheaper elsewhere?

    • Jb let you cancel, did today and reordered from noels as i can pick up from there, i dont trust couriers especially for something time based

      • Isn't it a code though, codes are being sent out around Nov 12th so everyone has a week to download the core game files ready for the 19th

        • My couriers steal or lose or say im not home or sign themselves and say i signed etc, if they do that itd take me 1-2 months of investigations before i get a refund or replacement, id rather pick up and play day 1

  • The Warehouse aren’t offering click and collect on this. JB Hifi offer free c&c so I’ll be ordering from them instead.

  • This is a bad deal it comes to $126.99 no click and collect.

  • Are they doing this for the Ultimate edition as well? $175 on the psn/Xbox store is eye-watering.
edit: Question answered - the JB Hi-fi listing says "An Ultimate Version upgrade is available digitally in-game after download."
