To spend $1000 you'd be looking at a series X with other bits or a laptop. Could get a lot of gamepass for $1000 though.

Hmm, mostly Snapdragon-based devices which have a lot of compatibility issues with legacy software. There's a couple of intel-based ones but the price isn't compelling compared with Lenovo, etc.

Fingers crossed Nvidia spark helps with this. They've put 2 years of effort in to getting people to change their code before releasing that thing to make sure it's not rubbish.
