  • No trial? HAH. They're gonna get (profanity) all.

  • Wasn't this stuff on Neon? So now, I need yet another service?

    • Yup, another content owner dropping selling their content and going it alone. And they wonder why people are all setting sail on the high seas…

      • Yeah, I get why they do it ($$). But I miss the days of just paying for netflix and everything was on it. Funnily enough, that's the only one I've kept as it still has the most content I want to watch. Prime video I occasionally sub to, as it's cheap. But Neon and Disney Plus are way too expensive.

        • It's understandable why they do it but it surely has to reach a point where people aren't subscribing to them all and some content owners will make more money just licensing it all out than they would get from subscriptions.

          • @Everettpsycho: That's how music works. Spotify, Apple Music etc basically have 99% the same catalogue and you choose based on the value add features. If streaming was the same, it'd be better for most of us. I haven't pirated music in years because steaming is so convenient.

  • Looks like piracy is back on the menu boys!

    • I fancy sailing to a Bay…a Bay where like minded Pirates freely mingle…a Pirate Bay you could say.

  • Catalogue is severely lacking in NZ. You'll pretty much need to use a US VPN to get access to shows like Batman TAS.

Good thing, however, is that if you already have an HBO Max account, it should work just fine in NZ now without jumping thru hoops (i.e. logging in with a US iTunes account to download the HBO app on Apple TV)

  • Is the app available to any smart tv's? Do I need to purchase a device to stream HBO Max?

If HBO Max isn't available in your TV app store, you can sign up and stream via Prime Video Channels or supported devices, including Amazon Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, PlayStation, or Xbox. You can also use Apple AirPlay, screen mirror, or connect your laptop via HDMI.

      • 1 catch with using Prime Video is you have to use the monthly subscription, annual won't be offered
