Car Battery for Peugeo Import - Better to Go to a Specialist Battery Supplier or Repco/Supercheap?

I put photos of my battery into gemini (it's reporting a battery error when trying to charge on a charger), and it gave me these specs

The Core Specifications to Give the Shop

Standard / Case Size: Ask for a DIN L2 (European standard casing).

Battery Type: This is an EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery). This is crucial because it indicates your car likely has a Start-Stop system (or smart charging technology). Do not downgrade this to a standard maintenance-free (MF) battery, or it will fail prematurely.

Voltage: 12VCapacity: 60Ah (Amp-hours)
Cranking Power (CCA): 640A (EN) — This is the European standard rating shown in the picture
(SAE/GS) — This is the equivalent American standard rating shown on both

I was just wondering if it's better to go to a specialist battery supplier or Repco/Supercheap?

  • If you're in Auckland I can recommend Superstar Batteries in Mt Albert. After doing a little digging I went there about two weeks ago to get a new battery for my Euro. Cheaper than anywhere else, with a three year warranty, and excellent service.
