Sky Sport Now Alternatives

The subscription for my Sky Sport Now is due for renewal and I've been using a cheaper deal the last couple of years but haven't seen anything lately, and the price has gone up again for the next 12 months.

Can anybody here suggest any good alternatives for watching their favourite sports online - I'm mainly interested in Rugby , Motorsport (F1 and Supercars) .

I tried the code that's currently advertised here that was valid a few months ago and it didn't work. Maybe it's valid for new sign-ups only and not existing subscriptions?

If I don't find anything, I'll go without for a while and see how much I miss it , hopefully wait for some kind of new yearly deal that I've used in the past.

Thanks.

  • No idea about Sky Sports specifically, but if you cancel (or fail to renew) many services will send you offers with fairly significant discounts for a while at least.

Maybe give them a call to cancel (instead of letting it lapse as such), to give them a chance to try to retain you?

  • There is a Stremio addon for sports if anyone wants to try. I just came across it yesterday, so will see when a live event is up.

    • I might check this out.
      Cheers

      • There is another one Flix-streams. It's paid and got a trial it was good. Haven't paid after though.

  • If you're open to sailing the high seas then an IPTV solution might work for you if you're after live coverage.

    • I haven't found a buffer-free IPTV provider for NZ sports… any recommendations?

      • Some more info here

      • mybunny.tv - Try it for a month and see what you think.

        • Hi Jexla

The bunny tv seems interesting and most channels 70% i tried seems to work of the bat, how are u using it ( which device & method ) and how long have u using it, is it reliable.

          • @vabtnet: I use Sparkle Player on my Nvidia Shield. It lets you record and also timeshift live TV which is nice.

          • @vabtnet: I use either the webplayer or via VLC on my laptop to TV as it's the most reliable method. There's ways to get it running on an app on smart TV's I just find it a bit unreliable.

            • @Jexla: Thanks heaps @Jexla _ i managed to start it on vlc on laptop , i wanted to know how to get the channel list, i cannot get it ?

              • @vabtnet: @Jexla ^^^^^

                • @vabtnet: Don't mean to be rude mate, but you might want to jump on google or chatGPT for that one.
Jizah also suggested Sparkle Player which sounds like a better option.

                  • @Jexla:

… you might want to jump on google or chatGPT for that one.

                    I just checked:

ChatGPT says that you inflate the oxen on the third stanza, then feel the cosmic.

                    • @Alan6984: AI is hallucinating more than me.

  • For F1, f1tv subscription is really worth it's cost. They usually have intro price beginning of the season.

  • Is there any cheap legitimate alternatives for the EPL ?

  • An app called kodi can download onto any android/Google add
Repositories and different adons can find good addons sport, movies, weather etc

  • Sportzx is one of the reliable way to watch it on Andriod/PC/Firestick. No apple support. Multiple HD streams were working for Mexico match.

  • Motosport wise TV3 has MotoGP and NASCAR.
TVNZ has bunch of motosport races as well. I think they got WRC & Superbike.
And Formula E live streams on Youtube.
    All of those are free.

    • He's specifically said F1 and supercars.
