Well, the 50%‑off gravy train has finally come to an end for me with MightyMobile (MM).
I’ve been with them for about 18 months, jumping between the rolling 6 month 50% discounts.

Unfortunately, the current deal is just 10% credit back, which is a yeah nah from me.
So… time to hunt for a new mobile plan.

I only use MM for my mobile, not home internet, so I’m happy to switch.
Having unlimited data completely removed the old data‑cap anxiety.
I’m not a heavy user, usually 10–30GB a month between Reddit and YouTube.

I messaged MM to see if they’d offer anything for existing customers, but the AI chatbot just repeated what’s already on the website.

Had a look around and found Zeronet’s $25 unlimited plan: https://www.zeronet.co.nz/mobile/
It’s definitely slower than MM’s slowest plan, but honestly… I don’t need fast YouTube.
It might even be a good excuse to stop doom‑scrolling.

Anyone here using Zeronet? if so what’s your experience been like?

Well after serveral dumpster fire reviews, I got to go back to the moblie plan drawing boards.

    Most of the posts on here are in regards to their broadband plans rather than mobile, but the feedback is not exactly a glowing endorsement of zeronet.

      Huh… I didn't think the feedback would be that bad… after reading some of the GZ posts, I am like… yup its bad.
      Back to the drawing board then….
      I guess I will have to do some more hunting.

      Maybe Kogan or try and detox from data and move back to a regular provider… iduno.

    If you can do almost all of your calling/messaging via apps, you could consider an overseas eSIM for the data.
    Local number gets put on Warehouse Mobile prepaid for $5 a year, and then a 20gb 30day eSIM each month for $15.
    Heaps of options if you check out a comparison site like eSIMDB.

    I'm hoping a two for one deal pops up again for the unlimited plan come my renewal time. Like yourself, it's so much nicer not having to worry about blowing through your data or having your wifi off by accident and draining it. It's also been super useful during isp outages at home as I can just hotspot for everyone without a worry.

      Price, I was paying $20 p/m, which is 50% off the base $40 price. Rocket doesnt look to be a cheaper deal.

    Mercury is also doing 12 months half price mobile if you have power or broadband with them
