  • If you get a big ticket item do they combine values or do you just get a ton of individual $20 cards? Also do you have a link other than that (very pixelated) image?

Can't tell you what they will do this time, but last time I did this, I got a stack of small value cards (might have been $10 or $20 each).

It was annoying to me, but even more so to their checkout staff when I used them to purchase something big the following week, as they had to manually enter every code (there was no option to scan the gift cards).

That was last year I think.

      • Last year i received $100, and a $20 card.
        Must vary by store.

        • Must vary by store.

Yep - could well vary by store.

Maybe mine had a surplus of $10 cards that they wanted to run down, and they saw me coming!

          • @Alan6984: Theres that price beat guy, we'll show him

              {Sigh}

They always end up recognising me eventually :-(

  • Valid for online orders? So would that have to be pick up from an Auckland store/delivery to an Auckland address? Or is it all online orders?

    • I'm guessing it means online orders for click & collect at an Auckland store.

  • T&Cs says - "Gift Cards issued as part of this promotion cannot be used for this promotion."
So Giftcard via Airpoints purchases may be valid? Has anyone tried that before?

    • Yes, I have done that often and it's valid (just not using the store card you just earned), though if you get a tricky staff member you might have to waste ten minutes politely escalating like I did last time - https://www.cheapies.nz/comment/284495/redir

      • thanks! will look into doing this

      • I am thinking about doing exactly that. I hope I can purchase online with my gift cards from airpoints, and then pick up $20 store cards during my click and collect. That's the plan for today anyway. :)

  • I guess will be good if you buy piles of gibs

    • Only if you help at my place too.

Not sure why it says that in the terms and conditions…
