        No it's less, 200 points = $0.94
        So 5000 points = $23.5

          @bilberry: Yeah i was looking at this, you're better off redeeming gift cards, as the value you get is higher than the cashback.

  Can't figure out what points are worth

  If I spend 1k on amex I get 10 airpoints.

  Is this better than that? I get you do get travel insurance thrown in though which is good.

    No, worse actually. $1k spend gives you 1,670 points = 1670/200*$.94= $7.849. You have to pay annual fees but as you've noted, it comes with complimentary travel insurance.
