70

If you are into a bit of vibe coding or what have you using AI Studio or any of the Google Cloud stuff and happen to have upgraded to Google Pro or Ultra - then you can claim back $10 or $100 in free extra credits each month - simply go to the page while logged in and select which billing account you want to get the credits assigned to and away you go .

Bonus tip:

Set a billing limit so you don’t get charged once your free credits run out.

Not massive, but a nice little boost for developers getting started

  • What I need is a cheap way to get google storage. Ideas anyone? I did that deal that was posted on here with the germany company but its finished now and now I can't receive emails as I have way surpassed my storage cap due to photos.

Maybe make a forum post, people can help you out there.

    • Something about buying certain pixel phones thqt came with limitless Google Photos storage?

If you have an early Pixel phone you get free Google Photos storage for life - for the pixel 1, unlimited full size, pixel 2 - unlimited but compressed size - and so on for a few iterations

I have this, so I have a Pixel 1 - which I sync with my phone - ie as soon as my phone and it are on the same network, it syncs the photos and then uploads them to Google Photos via the Pixel 1 - so free - I have a Terrabytes of photos and videos up there and pay nothing.

        • This is the way. My partner and I do monthly syncs with our pixels to make sure we stay "under" 15GB.

  • I've set a billing notification through the budget panel, but can't seem to set a true limit that prevents spending. Can you do so?

Edit: Nevermind, I found the Spend Cap function in the Google Cloud area, not the Google Developer area. It's assigned to the project, not the billing account

  • can this credit be used to pay off a portion of my google pro subscription?

    • No you assign it to a billing account in one of your projects and it comes off that.

      • thanks. but what does that actually entail? if im not using any paid service other than google pro, the credit wont go towards anything, and will just sit there?
