What network it uses in NZ?

It uses the OneNZ network. Have been using it for the last 2 years as well. Paired with a prepaid Warehouse Mobile sim for 2FA @ $5 a year for an NZ number.

Do keep in mind if you switch phones you will need to issue a replacement e-sim @ $28 HKD ($6 NZD).

    • Or just load it on an esim card and move card from one phone to another.

  • Used one of their other plans in Singapore, Cambodia, HK and Thailand last year. Great company.

  • Does it mean you can’t use ChatGPT and Claude at all ?because it is blocked in hk

    • Yes, also ATpark doesn't work, I don't know why, but it just says network error. Other local websites such as bunnings require a human check to prove you are not a robot every time-_-!.

    • Just tested and chatgpt web works and reponds successfully via 2dgrees network.

      • GPT is random, sometimes OK sometimes not.

        • That's interesting, I wonder why.

I guess a vpn would be needed for a few services in that case

Yeah pretty much anything that has geographic restrictions; I had the same problem using the KFC app (Both in Australia and in NZ while on mobile data, had to hotspot or connect to wifi to get those sweet chicken deals).
