Found under their FAQs: "Game credit and Powertickets will expire if the card is inactive for 36 months from date of last use. Excluding in-app activities."

This is an improvement on what it used to be. Previously it expired after being inactive for only 12 months.
More than likely this is not Timezone being generous - it will be to do with the change in gift card expiry legislation that took effect in mid March requiring a 3 year minimum validity.
