Xinzuo 8" Chef Knife (YU Series, German 1.4116 Steel) $47 + $8 Shipping @ Xinzuo

EASTER30

Came across this deal while looking for a decent chef knife – price seems pretty sharp with the code.

πŸ‘‰ Xinzuo 8" Chef Knife (YU Series – German 1.4116 steel)
Was: $83
Now: $67
Use code: EASTER30 β†’ brings it down to around $47

πŸ“¦ Ships from NZ

Not a super well-known brand here yet, but seems to have a decent reputation overseas.

Why this one stood out:
- German 1.4116 steel (used by brands like WΓΌsthof / Zwilling)
- Good balance of sharpness and rust resistance
- Easier to maintain than harder steels
- Unlike cheaper knives that use ABS/plastic handles, this one features an ebony wood for a more solid and premium feel.

At under $50, seems like a pretty decent upgrade from The warehouse / Kmart knives.

Can you also perhaps come across a 100% off code since you own the store?

    • Hah I didn't notice that at first.

    • Hi rep for xinzuo nz here,
All good, just keeping it transparent. Thought the deal might still be useful to some here. Thanks!

Crazy how you come across a deal in your own store πŸ€ͺπŸ‘‹

I am voting them up for having the guts to try and sneak this through. And for the following wording in the knife description:
    "Master any task"
    "Precision meets power"
    "unwavering confidence"
    "ultimate culinary leader"
"One knife to rule them all"

I am thinking of buying two…

      DO NOT BUY TWO

They will vie for power and your kitchen will become a war zone

        =)
Actually, went into a little knife rabbit hole, if you compare this to what I think is the same knife on Aliexpress ($72+gst) this cheapie deal does appear to be cheaper?:
        https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000238549043.html

Bit cheeky of the poster - but arguably if you wanted this knife then this does appear to be a deal?

        • Hi, rep for xinzuo nz here.

I’m one of their resellers, and I only share products I truly believe in. My goal is simple: to bring honest, reliable, and budget-friendly quality knives to more home cooks.
I’m just someone who loves cooking and appreciates good kitchen tools. After using many European and Japanese brands, I found Xinzuo offers excellent quality at a much more affordable price β€” great value without the high premium.

No.. its overpriced for an AUS10 knife.

      • I mean, the overpriced part isn't the material the knife is made out of. It's overpriced because of the ultrasonic vibration, which helps the knife cut stuff easily. Some people might think it's a gimmick, but it does look cool. I've yet to find another knife similar to that at a lower price point.

To the people who are not familiar with kitchen knife.

1.4116 steel is a good stainless steel. But it depends on how it is heat treated.
If its from a well known brand and the same price, you can consider that. But not this one.

    Buy this one.
    www.ikea.com/nz/en/p/ikea-365-3-piece-knife-set-30454966/
This is also Molybdenum/Vanadium stainless steel which is X50CrMoV15, also called 1.4116.
So its cheaper, the same stainless, and you get two smaller knives.

Hi, rep for xinzuo nz here.
Yeah IKEA ones are decent for the price.
This is a bit more refined overall - ebony wood handle and slightly nicer finish. Still in the affordable range with the discount though.
