Assurant Samsung Trade-in

Hey fellas,

I shipped my trade in phone on 9th March (19 days after first contact from assurant) and they signed for it on 10th March (20 days after first contact)

I see that they require the phone to be sent within 21 days as per my email from them:

"If your device is shipped after 21 days from your receipt of the confirmation email, vour Trade-In value may be adjusted."

Now looking at my offer page it says:
"Offer period has expired.
To be eligible for the full Trade-In Credit we must have received your device by 0)
As your offer has expired, your trade-in device can no longer be returned"

What do I do? They did receive the phone within 21 days so am i at fault?

Thanks in advance

Assurant are known for this. Worst case is you email Samsung and they sort it from their end.

    • Okay whew thank you, i was nervous that theyd not honour it anymore, my past experiences have been pretty good with them so hopefully this can sort itself out

If you search here or Reddit you'll find a bunch of people who had Assurant claim all sorts of BS; trade-in not received, trade-in broken, trade-in device didn't match description etc…

For anyone that reads this in future, I reckon it's worth using a wise virtual card or similar when dealing with Samsung Trade-In. That way if Assurant stuffs you around there's no way for them to take any more money off you while it's being sorted out.

When i sent stuff in its signed for when they recieve it, check ya tracking and if they signed for it then email them and ask for whoever signed for its full details as it seems to have been stolen by them and you need their details for the police.

Worked for me, ph went from no update to have been accepted within the day

They probably have a backlog of trade ins after the new release. They are horrendous to deal with when things go wrong.

    Whew just got this email:

Good news! We’ve received your device and inspected it. Your trade-in is complete.

  • You should be able to verify when they received the parcel with the tracking number
