I thought the Shanghai from $462 return fares were good, and then today, I re-checked Beijing. Wow!
Sample dates below, all seem to be between September and December.
Note: as we found with the Shanghai deal, there seems to be only a small number at this price on each date. Please don't hate, I just search for them. The airline chooses how many to show, and online agencies cache the price, so sometimes it'll go up when you actually go to check out and the agency finds the cheap bucket has gone for that day. I've seen some bookings go through so definitely know the price is valid at time of posting.
Flights generally transit in Guangzhou.
