I had premium all last year and it was totally unusable.
My download speed is 50mbps, so it should have worked. The issue is you cant fix playback resolution, so it keeps dropping down to blocky and then back to 1080p.
On the Pro plan you can lock res at 1080p, and it works. I can stream multiple 1080p youtube videos at the same
time and 4k from youtube is no problem.
I had to go into my settings and turn off multiview to fix it, which reverts it to pro.

    • I had similar issues with Apple TV app with a 900mbps connection.
But when I airplay from my phone to Apple TV no such issues.
This was the case for last couple of years.
      I think it's a common problem.

Live races were always good on Apple TV app it was the replays that had degraded resolutions.

  • Multiple devices - watch live on up to 6 devices simultaneously

Does anyone know if this means I can watch on my PC/TV at my house, my friend can watch on their PC/TV at their house - effectively being a shared subscription? Or is it 6 devices simultaneously on the same IP address?

My brother and I tried this from 2 different locations and it worked for us.
Not sure if they've changed it for this year…

Yep I used it last year like this. Multiple devices across different locations / IPs without any issue. So you can use it like a shared subscription.

Doing this only for new customers is a slap.
Auto renewed a week before this discount comes out due next level up.

    • Even though it says so in the T&Cs, I don't think it's just for new customers, just for those without an active subscription.
I had a subscription for last season that ended and was able to purchase this fine on the same account.
