18650 Batteries - Samsung or No-Brand Cheapies

Curious if anyone has experience or opinions on 18650 batteries.

Have you had bad experiences from the cheap ali-express batteries? Is it worth paying the extra for Samsung?

Purpose is to rebuild Eufy S330 camera battery pack (unable to charge)

Stay away from unknown brands. Stick to known brands like Samsung, LG or Molicel.

You probably don't need to worry about over discharging in a camera but those no named lithum-ion cells have very poor quality control.

Highly recommend watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Y23nfAOiXQ and educating yourself on lithium-ion safety.

I have only ever bought the cheapo ones from AE or maybe Temu - I can't recall. They are unbranded.

Been using them in a charging pack for about a year and they are working fine up to now, but I have no means of comparing.

Wouldn't go near them known history of being either fake capacity or dangerous.
Samsung/LG is what i used to rebuild my Xiaomi AirPump which still works fine today.

Would recommend looking at cell tests from Mooch to make a decision. Here's his Facebook page
