  • Can you tell me if the new website has changed to queue loading behind activity trackers or ads?
Even when I turn my adblocker off, Firefox won't load results on the pages. I can load them on browsers that don't have browser-level user protection.

Sigh, no, well, certainly not intentionally. It's been driving me insane - Firefox on my machine, it sometimes loads, sometimes doesn't. Sometimes after like a minute of sitting there.

I've also been trying in incognito and so on.

      Chrome etc works for me.

I've sent it to several friends who use Firefox, and it worked perfectly for them. Worked on Firefox mobile too. So I hoped it was just me. Looks like there's more to look into.

      Thanks for the data point!

BTW - https://bookings.beatthatflight.com.au/ should still work for you in the interim

The ads on this site are so annoying, they take up so much space!!

It's now even more obvious it was vibe coded

    • And you have an issue with that? Is that a bad thing?

      • It just looks generic, which is fine

Been running it since well before vibe coding was a thing :P But Claude definitely help me migrate things from Wordpress to Astro!

  • Honesty is the best policy. Keep it up OP! Just do what you can!

China Eastern economy…once and never again. Took it late last year AKL - Shanghai B777

Narrowest and most uncomfortable seat i've ever had, had to bend my arms towards me so it wont hit the person next to me at meal time

They also serve food from the front and back and when they reach the middle most of the options are gone. Then they start serving bread AFTER everyone's finished the meal by walking down the aisle with a plastic bag of bread asking if anyone wants some (cost saving i'd assume).

Also they ask you to put your carry on on the opposite side your seat (across the aisle) for some bizarre reason even though I had a small bag and the overhead above me was empty (it wasnt for safety equipment or crew either, the people across the aisle eventually put their bags above me)

Also upgrades from economy to business (no prem economy) is FULL COST even 2 hours before the flight, at check in. They said they never discount flight upgrades even if there are seats empty they dont care - typical shanghai attitude.
On the other hand with China Southern they have discounted upgrades.

If I had to choose a chinese airline it would have to be China Southern only. But luckily I've always mostly taken Air NZ via HK so dont have to deal with any BS
