Haven't tried this one before but price is pretty sharp.
I've got trackers on a lot of my stuff and find them pretty useful.
Chuck one in your car, bag, keys, purse etc.

Cheaper than aliexpress who usually are the cheapest for ugreen stuff.
Has a claimed 2 year battery life (replaceable) which is also pretty good if realistic

Can't see an expiry date for the deal, just "while stocks last"

Use code WELCOME (20% off) to bring it down to $14

  • Works okay, on motorbike car bike if you want to have some sort of theft protection but it's only partially integrated in the Find My phone appApple AirTag (2nd generation) is out now it's got a jump up from the old generation, apparently with more features and longer range

  • How does this differ from Apple AirTag (which costs 3-4 as much)?

I think it's pretty much as good, I have like 6x of the $12.5 Momax Pinpop lites from PBtech

The only downside is you don't get the UWB tracking when the tracker is under ~20m of distance from your phone the Apple Airtags allow you to walk around with an arrow on screen that shows how close you are getting.

Besides that, I noticed my PBtech ones only lasted a year, but the batteries are common/cheap. and the general tracking, especially when travelling around the world was surprisingly good.

The main difference is accuracy. The trackers are only receivers and require an iPhone's GPS signal to be accurate, so if you track inside somewhere, the accuracy can be a 30 to 50 m radius on the map, which is the last GPS fix that the iPhone had in that area. Which is good enough for lost bags or stolen items, but if you're inside your house and trying to find your keys or wallet, which is in a pocket or drawer, and you can't hear the tag, the UWB tracking is the main reason I have the Apple tag. I have used it travelling overseas but found it more interesting than useful, but if the airline put your bags on a different flight, I can see the advantage.

  • I'm gradually switching to Qi rechargeable and dual system (Apple+Android) trackers. No more replacing batteries.
Looks like this has neither of these features, but it is a good price.

    • Do you have any recommendations?

  • I own one and it’s quite good, compared to an airtag only downside is it doesn’t have UWB but for the price, it’s worth it. Far better than may third party trackers in terms of build quality, performance and also the loudness of beeps.

  • I find most of non apple one just quietly drain battery and died, when you need its not working. and sadly there is no model with like 10yr battery

What I do on my current trackers is change the battery yearly on my birthday. I don't wait for any low battery warnings (if they exist) Seems to work well for me. Some of my trackers must be getting on to 5 years old now.

  • There's one from Amazon US that's rechargeable. Might be worth considering: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FBWDZH2M. About US$40 with shipping for a 4-pack. Slightly cheaper alternative without the fuss of replacing batteries?
