Noel leemings are selling the 8500 model for the same price. Seems they get price rotated as it has been this price over new years. The 8500 model seems to have a higher normal price of $2000 so guessing it is better

For the price difference, you are probably right as QLED is supposed to be better. I don't know how much better the picture is TBH or whether many people notice. I think I will still look at OLEDs when looking for something to replace my 55 inch 1080 one which still works fine.
Just be aware that it's a today only offer (I think)
