I got this website price matched with Noel Leeming.

I would have got it price beat at Briscoes but my local didn't have any stock, which would have made it 33.00 if they applied their 10% price beat.

Do you need one of these if your tap already has a filter? I have a https://www.puretec.co.nz/Z7-R filter which I fill my water with. I feel it's a bit excess to have two filtering.

Also, wondering has any one tried using the amazon or compatible version of this filter?

  I have only used the genuine charcoal ones, but have used the aftermarket claroswiss filters and have been fine.

  I've had no issues with the aftermarket compatible filters - they do the trick just fine. Pack of 12 available on TradeMe for $27.77 incl shipping

  Honestly, even without a filter you can get away without using one of these in NZ.
  I'm sure they're helpful but my BDB has been running without any filter for over 5 years now, and it's still running great.
