Bathroom Fixtures Sales - Any Knowledge?

Asking here and I know the cheapies community is broad and there is a lot of knowledge here.

Looking to see if anyone has recently purchased bathroom gear (taps, mixers, sinks, vanities, etc) - especially from Elite Bathroomware?

We’re about to renovate soon. Missed their 15% off Boxing Day sale and wanted to go into the showroom to check stuff in person, but it was closed for the holiday break.

A few questions for anyone who’s bought lately:

Does Elite Bathroomware do storewide sales like that often?

Has anyone used their “Code” range (tapware, accessories, basins, mixers etc)? I think this might be their in-house label rather than a big brand, curious how the quality and durability stack up vs big names.

Any recommendations on where else to look locally/online for decent bathroomware at good prices? I’m after quality stuff for a forever home, so not chasing TradeDepot-level budget stuff.

Hey, thought I’d jump in as I work at a store that sells bathroomware and tapware in East Auckland

We stock brands like Methven, Aquatica, Crest shower enclosures and etc.

If you want to check things out in person or compare options, you’re welcome to pop in. If you mention Cheapies, I can definitely do a good deal.

we are located on 25 Greenmount Dr, and you can check us up online at, acehomeware.myshopify.com

If you’ve seen something at another store that you like, we’ve got supplier accounts with a few brands and can often do better on pricing.

    Happy to answer any questions.

    • Awesome thanks, might come in and see you. We actually used your company a few years ago for some vanities. Right when you moved to the current address.

Check out Ikea. They have full fledge design studio online. Play around with your room size and can get better idea. Even better if you can go in-store, they can really help design everything out for you and built to your specs. I have seen few posts on FB where people have got the remodels done way cheaper than other options available in NZ. Join fb groups to get ideas.

My sister renovated their house and recommended Plumbline's trademe account where they list all their ex-display, end of line, returns and damaged goods (might have a minor scratch or chip).

They sell high end products and its normally super expensive but you can pick some products for 50-80% off.

Here's the link to their account: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/stores/plumbline-out…

    And a few of examples:
Stanza Legno 1500 2 Drawer Wall Vanity in Smoke Ex-Display Was $4399 for $1999.99
Avenir Hybrid Heated Towel Ladder 72x75 Chrome Run Out Model Was $1799 for $699.99
Meek Intra 1980 Freestanding Bath in Bone Sample Was $9999 for $3999.99
Como Square Shower Handpiece Matt Black Excess Stock Was $199 for $29.99

    • Sweet, Will keep an eye on their auctions.

  • tbh having bought some bathroom ware over the years, go for functionality and easy to clean, sometimes you'll find good stuff in the same place sometimes you'll need to get stuff from all over,

Like toilets the back to wall and straight down sides are such a breeze to clean vs to old style toilets
For example we bought this toilet after looking around for ages as easy to clean, increased height makes it easier to sit om for teens adults, the lid is soft close and easy clean design

Got it during boxing day where the $20 for every $100 spend was happening. It's been well worth it

    • Great advise and something I think we will stick to as well. Made some choices that we regretted later on with our last reno - looked nice but a PITA to keep looking clean.
Sigh, should have thought about this before boxing day. Could have utilized the price beat and voucher

  • I bought a few things from Mitre10, but used my parents farmlands card. If you can find someone with one you can get 10-15% off on a lot of things.
