In addition, ShopBack will have an upsized cashback tomorrow- 10%.

    • Can ShopBack be stacked with Apple Education savings?

      • +2

I’m not associated with them in any way and can speak only from my previous experience.
Bought an iPad from edu store, got 10% cashback from ShopBack (via the iOS app)

      • Yes. Bought a MBA during the edu discount last year and successfully got 10% from shopback.

        • How much was your cashback? I purchased the MacBook Air/airpods pro combo. Total came out to $1920 yet tracked cashback at 10% is only $126

          • @hummerh40: You should get 10% cashback on both MBA and APP (before GST). Cashback was tracked separately. I had to get support from shop back as they didn't automatically track the cashback for APP.

            • @aquafaba: This is what seems to have happened. Thanks I’ll reach out to them.

          • @hummerh40: Same / Similar issue with my cashback.
I purchased the ipad Air/Apple pencil pro combo. Total came out to $1299 yet tracked cashback at 10% is only $93.04

            Ipad air $1070 ($930.43+ gst $139.57)
            Pencil pro $229 ($199.13+ gst $29.87)
            Total excluding gst = $930.43 + $199.13 =$1129.56
10% cash back should be $112.97.

            • @Cheapiesuser: Yeah seems like the same issue. I’ll reach out to ShopBack and report back

              • @hummerh40: You might have to wait for your items be delivered before ShopBack can verify their fulfilment.

                • @aquafaba: The AirPods ended up being automatically tracked separately. Didn’t have to contact ShopBack. Good stuff!

                  • @hummerh40: Yes, mine tracked as well.
I’ll attribute the issue to the Apple Store creating two separate invoices on different occasions, not even on the same day.
I did raise a ticket with ShopBack, but the issue was resolved before they even had a chance to review it.

  • I've been holding out for this since Airpods Pro 3 was launched. Exciting!

Last year the cashback deal maxed out at 15% in late Jan. Hard to know if it's worth waiting in hope, or taking the bait at 10% tomorrow…

  • Looks like my route of putting it on GEM will be a pain as it seems I need to call apple to avail the 12-24 months spread out payment. Need to get that 10% cashback

    • I've done GEM finance a few years ago had no problems only took five minutes on the phone.

      • Shopback needs the order to be done online for the 10% cashback.

        • Yep I see what you mean, GEM finance the order is put through the Apple call Centre.

  • Do they verify the eligibility for education? Or anyone can purchase it? I reached the checkout page/payment page and it didn't ask for any student ID, etc.

    • No they do not. Its pretty much a deal for all.

  • Missed the 10%, Shows 4% now.

    • There is a 7% cashback which ends today!

      • There's two upcoming 10% I'd wait for instead
