Because last year's online pre-order was totally a disaster. Everyone has to show order confirmation email on their phones, some took longer, then they have to check their system to validate your order then only made it on the spot. The whole thing just take too long. Ordering on the spot on first come first serve basis would have been so much faster.

300 per store.. wonder how quick it will be.

  • This was a disaster last time so as much as I enjoyed my free burrito I will not even bother lol

  • Are they good? Never tried their burritos before. All these Latina, Middle-eastern and Asian wraps looks similar to me. And most of them (e.g. taco bell) taste awful in my opinion. Only few of them are delicious.

      I like the Zambrero ones.

Taco Bell is awful, had a friend that couldn't wait till they got to NZ. He would say he was disappointed that all the Mexican food here was fake. But goddamn I tried Taco Bell when it arrived it horrible and expensive. They taste highly processed for whatever reason

Excited for Taco Bell because all Mexican food in NZ is fake is very funny. They don't even have Taco Bells in Mexico, and they've tried twice.
I like the "Mexico" chains whenever I've been but it is damn expensive for what is traditionally a cheap food.

  • do I just turn up to their store?

      Name checks out 🤣🤣

  • Pissing down here in Chch so didn't bike over to tower junction :(

  • Got mine made and ready within 5 min including wait 😄

  • Heads up: was asked to purchase a drink to get the free burrito, apparently I was supposed to have a 'card' to redeem it. Still a very good deal though.

    • what store was it anyway? doesn't say anything on the website or terms and conditions you could have opposed it

      • Had awful experience, no where on their website did they mention any cards. The guy behind the counter told me the cards were all distributed yesterday only to regular customers, so much for First in First serve.

Another store was happy to serve without a card but politely asked for a drink purchase which I was more than happy to oblige even though it’s not the part of the t&c.

          username does not check out

  • Just been to Chc store they said the same thing no card no food. A guy walked in after me and they just mentioned it’s sold out

    • Seems like the franchise owners don’t want to honour the deal and found a way out to lie

Sorry to hear about your negative experience today, StingySir.
They shouldn’t have been haters and waste your time, resulting in a bad vibe.
Glad u finally got fed, Pete.

  • Look like each store were given x number of cards. The store (MT wellington ) I went to he only had maybe a a dozen cards and they had only 3 peole at opening time
Doubt they handed out cards all 300 cards by lunch time as they claimed
