Yes two of the worst releases Apple have made. 16 E overpriced budget low spec phone and the equal overpriced low spec iPhone Air or perhaps you could look at them as a retro iPhone 7.
The 16e is such a weird phone. It’s so expensive for what it is.
When I worked for a retailer we sold oodles of iPhone SE second gens. They were a ‘for Apple’ pretty good buy ($700 for a pretty outdated phone in every way except the chip…) then they put the price up for the se 3 and our sales fell off a cliff.
I can’t imagine 16e selling very well at all. It’s not an upgrade for anyone on an iPhone XS or so or newer and it’s too expensive for the grandmas who just want a phone
iPhone and value dont belong in the same sentence, understandable if you're locked into the "eco-system" but I wouldn't choose that prison willingly.
I went pixel 7 to iPhone 15 pro about a year ago

I’d love a file browser (files app ain’t it). I’d love for audio not to pause if any other app dares to make a sound. I’d love a keyboard that is taller and less error prone. I’d like to be able to use hands free in the car again. (I (profanity) kid you not it tried to ChatGPT ‘navigate to <x address>’ … like why?)
At the moment the friction of switching phones isn’t less than the friction of using this thing. IMO for a phone with ‘pro’ in the name it’s really cut down and annoying to use. My next phone will probably be another pixel or a nothing phone if they tone down the style. (Not too bothered but those phones are gawdy).
Some stuff is nice. Apps are consistent, the ui can be pretty. I have find my tags on my keys and I like those a lot.
I just replaced my $160 andriod with a new $170 android, I am not a flagship phone dude, I shouldn't be griping in here.
Yep , but since it comes with work and didnt have to buy one for the last 20 years , I am thrilled at what I saved.

In fact, Apple don't sell devices, they sell Logos with device functionality.Personally I wouldn’t get the 512GB, 256GB is enough for most people.
Pretty decent discount but I’m unsure about buying any Apple products from DS. Does anyone know if it is parallel imported? Is model is exactly the same as the NZ model?
Another thing to consider is there no Apple warranty for parallel imports just the DS.
Will be interesting to see how long these phones last as they are so thin, I doubt they have very good cooling capabilities for the parts.
