StoreLens - A quicker way to find deals on Shopify websites

Hello Cheapies fam!

Ever felt frustrated when you're shopping, and there's no 'in stock only' filter, or the Cheapie favourite 'on sale only'?

I've been working on a tool to more easily find deals from stores hosted on Shopify and thought I should share it with everyone. Introducing: StoreLens

The tool's main aim is to offer decent filtering, sorting, and search, when these are often left out by the shop's owner.

Just paste a store's domain or collection URL and StoreLens loads the full product list, with comprehensive filtering and sorting options, and even a quick search box. Then when you've found an item you are interested in, StoreLens has the direct link to that item's product page on the original store.

Features
  • Browse any store hosted on the Shopify platform (you can recognise them by the /collections/ part of the URL, directly after the domain1)
  • Loads all products in one go - no more clicking to go to the next page
  • Filter by vendor, product type, tags, variant options, price, and stock or sale status — even if the shop doesn’t show them
  • Sorting by title, price, newest first, and highest discount
  • Search across product titles and descriptions
  • URL history to quickly re-visit recent stores
Status and Limitations
  • StoreLens is currently in early alpha (0.1).
  • Core browsing, filtering, and sorting features are functional, with a small number of enhancements planned.
  • StoreLens relies on Shopify’s public JSON endpoints. Stores that restrict or heavily customise their storefront data may return incomplete or inconsistent information.

A note about very large collections: StoreLens works by fetching every product in a collection. Extremely large catalogues may load slowly, and performance will depend on your browser and computer.

Known Issues
  • Shopify enforces a limit of 1,000 collection pages, and 250 products per page. Collections larger than 250,000 items cannot be fully loaded and will cause StoreLens to crash.

  1. Except JB Hi-Fi - it might look like Shopify but it doesn't work. Use JBScraper instead.
