I worked there for many years a long time ago and I can't recall there ever being a storewide sale.
The pricing strategy is set around EDLP (Everyday Low Price) as opposed to the high/low Briscoes model.
There would occasionally be one off specials on a special buy or limited stock deals but that is all.
Price changes in order to meet the lowest price pillar are done at product level.
