It doesn't work this time if you already have an active sub (unless you're upgrading).
Bit shit for existing customers, I just want to give Sony lots of money for something that won't essentially be using for another 10 months (my current sub expires Aug 2026), how hard can it be!

It stacks. If you have 2 months left and then buy another 12 months for the same tier you'll end up with 14 months of that tier.

Huh, doesn't let me purchase at a discount because I have a current subscription, unless I upgrade.

What tier are you on?

@Salamander: Check my reply to garethbeverland below, I think I know what it might be. I'm not 100% certain but it's the only thing that makes any kind of sense to me.

Thanks and can confirm, my next payment would be Feb 2027 if purchased today.

Not discounted though

It is for me, I have an existing Deluxe sub and can purchase another 12 months at the discounted price.

@garethbeverland: I think I know what it might be. Have you purchased a discounted 12 month sub within the last 12 months? Because I read that Sony changed it so you can't stack annual sub deals on top of each other to stop people, like myself, from stacking multiple years of cheap PS+ subscriptions onto their accounts. I haven't tried this myself but apparently the way it works is now if you buy a discounted PS+ annual sub, then immediately buy another 12 months for the same tier of sub, you won't be offered the discounted price, and I'm guessing that that has a period of time attached to it which is probably around the 12 month mark.
I purchased my PS+ sub back in 2022 when you could still stack multiple years at the discounted price, I got 3 years worth, so if you've purchased yours within the last 12 months then I think there's your answer.
If you haven't, then I have no idea what's up, maybe it's to do with how much time is left on your existing sub? I don't know.

@garethbeverland: Not sure that's it.
I got deluxe on last Black Friday (it's good until Feb) and it's still showing the deluxe discount for me.
Other plans are full price.- 1

it will stack, starting from the date your current one expires. so if you buy a year, the year starts from feb. not sure on the stacking limit though

I just tried. they let you add additional time but at FULL cost. not at 33 percent off.

I just bought another 12 months with a current subscription at 33% off the full price.

I upgraded my active sub and then extended with deluxe. Cost me $170 all up, and expires Jan 2017 now. YMMV.

That expired nearly nine years ago so not really a good deal! 😄

I was able to extend Deluxe sub for $168. Thanks OP.
Btw there were no discounts showing for me on Extra or Essential.

Luckily my essential membership ends 30th November so I’ve cancelled renewal now. Fingers crossed I should be able to purchase a year subscription for deluxe as it is only showing 1 month for me.

I cannot resubscribe for the 30% discount. Already on a Pro annual discount from this time last year. Anyone figure out how to get it to show?

Try cancel the auto-renew first.

Looks like you're the lucky one, most people in the thread can't access the discount. The cheap (profanity) at sony

Do they do boxing day deals too? or is this it for the year?
- 0

There's usually a similar one around New Year I think

Doesn't work for me. Mine renews in Feb however a month ago I upgraded and paid a pro-rata fee to get the deluxe tier. I cant stack any of these discounts :(

$113 for a Singaporean sub. Not helpful if you don't already have one*, or aren't signing up for the first time (*if you don't want to lose access to your monthly PS+ games) but it's generally $50 or so less on these specials.
Might also be worth remembering that there will be minimal new PS4 games added to the monthly games from now.

If you have a current sub (mine expires in Feb) then will it start from then or from the day you purchase it?
