I picked up a good dome tent using the T7 HNZ code a few years back, but unfortunately it's now damaged and needs replaced. Wondering what's the Cheapies go-to now T7 isn't an option? I've seen this one on KMart https://www.kmart.co.nz/product/5-person-dome-tent-with-vest… which is the same size/style of the one I bought at T7. And at $109 it's certainly cheap for a big tent, but I've no idea if it's just a pile of crap or not. Any thoughts please anyone?
Car Camping Tent Recommendations Now That Torpedo7 HNZ Code Isn't an Option

Yep we got an oztent second hand and love it! Inlaws almost 30yo one is still going strong 🤞

Torpedo 7 are still online and have a sale on now https://www.torpedo7.co.nz/camping-outdoors/tents/dome-tents

Interesting, they have a new version of the one I bought, only all the dimensions are smaller but the price is the same lol

Do you camp a lot? If so, Zempire (not cheap) is a pretty solid option.

Not car camping no. But thanks for the recommendation - I do appreciate good quality products if I'll be using them a lot.

All good. You could try this one from Rebel Sport when they have another Friends and Family sale (usually 30% off): https://www.rebelsport.co.nz/product/8228388/coleman-skydome…

We were also interested in that Kmart tent back in 2019 Jan. As it was not available in store - didn't want to pay the delivery fee, we ended up buying this one from Mitre 10: https://www.mitre10.co.nz/shop/kiwi-camping-kingfisher-4-rec…
The price seems to be the same as before, but we bought it when it's on sale in Mitre 10 for $149. From memory, Mitre 10 would put camping tents on sale from time to time.
* From the review and the assembling video, it's quite easy to set it up.
* The waterproof rating (PU2000) is better than the Kmart one (PU1000).
* The vestibule for the storage, which is great when it's bad weather.
From a review
"It could have more ventilation, screen at front door would been great, the floor teared easily but in general ok for a one trip."
So yea, you get what you pay for.
If I was buying, I'd consider a good quality 2nd hand one.
