  • I paid $160 for my master 3 probably 5 years ago now.

This has been $~204 since launch with a random cscbg group, so the discount is nice

  • OP - I've updated the post to use CSCBG Main membership.
This works out slightly cheaper again ($202.31), compared to CSCBG Premium ($205.92)

  • Bought one for this price yesterday. Enjoying it so far, had to turn down the haptic feedback to the lowest setting though as it was a bit much!

    • I had the mx3 for a day and returned it as I found the 3 small buttons on the side near the thumb to be uncomfortable and cheap feeling (I know I'm just that kinda guy).

Any thoughts what these ones are like? Chur.

      • +1

Tbh those side buttons are very similar on the 3/3S and 4 so if you're not into that probably not for you. The horizontal wheel feels much nicer though.

        • Ah ha. Very helpful, thank you e hoa :)

  • Wow, not bad. I bought the 3S when it was on sale for $109 earlier this week! Just found out about the CSC membership hack, I wonder if it'd have been even cheaper..

  • Looks like they fixed the price now $242.98 cacbg

  • 3 vs 4?

The Logi Bolt USB included with the MX Master 4 is now a USB-C model instead of the older USB-A one.

    • I bought a four, I’ll collect it this afternoon but the three I have now (which is 5 years old, mind you) is made of this rubber that doesn’t age well at all.

There’s haptics in the 4 and it looks like they’ve moved the thumb button to somewhere sensible

      • oh yes its has a Polyurethane coating, which will break down get sticky and terrible over time, same with some shoe soles.
alcohol wipes will remove it when it gets to that stage.

  • Could try price-matching using PP ($204.25)

    $201.61 (with GST) Aquila

    • They wouldn't price match Aquila for me, but did do PP.

However it doesn't give me the gift card when i use the code they gave me so not really that good of a deal…

    • Managed to get PB Tech to price match Aquila and picked it up in person for $192

  • Actual cheapie option for cheap mice is ATK. They basically copy the mainstream brand mice profiles and put better components in them and then sell them for less. Personally I got sick of my Logitech and Razer mice dying right after the 2 year mark when I was paying premiums for them.

    • Or pick any of the clones, there's lots out there. AJAZZ, MCHOSE, Attack Shark, Delux, etc

      • Sure, if you can vouch for any of them provide some links for the people!

        • AliExpress but a lot of them are bundle deals so I can't seem to get a link

          • @kfr23: I googled a bunch and found stores for them. Personally wouldn't risk buying off them without someone confirming they're legit though.

    • Which one would be most comparable to this mouse?

      • I don't think any of these Chinese companies replicate this mouse, they're more catered to the gaming market, not productivity.
