eSIM New Zealand - is it legit?

Is this legit? Saw some ads in instagram. Lately there's many of these offshoot mobile providers that's popping up.

  • I brought one a while back for playing around with, while the SIM works in New Zealand, its a roaming SIM from an overseas provider.
I can't remember who was the underlying provider, but if I remember correctly it was from 1global or another one of the global eSIM wholesale providers.

    • Hi taneb1,

I brought one a while back for playing around with, while the SIM works in New Zealand, its a roaming SIM from an overseas provider.

Did you only purchase a SIM, or also an eSIM?

If so, what about the eSIM?

      Thanks,

      Alan.

      • I used the eSIM - it works, but your traffic is routing via an overseas network, so you'd have issues accessing things like Lotto, ThreeNow, TVNZ+, etc that require you to be accessing from you a New Zealand IP address - you'd be better using a local SIM in my opinion as your traffic is going local/will be faster as well.

  • there are a couple of big players with APIs, everyone is just using the same API and adding different markups. You could just go to the source and buy them dirt cheap.

  • Primary country/region location for people who manage this Page includes:
    Australia (1)
    India (1)

Facebook page info suggests not a NZ Company and as stated by a few above its a Roaming provider
