Good price on these, dated stock but they're still fine to drink. Cheap as discontinued product.

Probably the only time a milkshake proudly says it's got 350 calories in it.
1.5 calories per ml. That's pretty impressive, it's like 3 times that of coke.
These calories are much better than straight sugar water though, obviously.
They're really designed for people who are sick and can't eat etc but they're actually filling enough to have a a replacement.

Doctors recommended this for someone I knew on chemo

Drs used to be able to prescribe them to sick people and theyd get them in trays, was ages ago tho so probably not the case anymore. I think they are yum, lotta people dont

@mcaekey: Just over $1 a can with funding number if the patient doesnt have NGT or a limited number of other conditions
Powder is fully funded ($0-$5 co-payment) with that same funding number so worth considering if you can handle the taste

@Rowjo: I have Crohn's so get them on prescription. The supplier raised the prices earlier this year so they're now closer to $2 each. Obviously still cheaper than RRP but not $1 anymore. :(

@mcaekey: You should have a chat to the doctor - see if theyre happy to endorse it for "exclusive enteral nutrition for the treatment of Crohn's disease" (means you use only ensure for set periods of time to get the chrons under control)
Or chat to your pharmacy that this is why youre using it (some allow this information from you, some require the doctor to endorse it)
(Assuming this is what youre using it for with your chrons)Then between your special authority and endorsement it will be fully funded ($0-$5 for 3 months worth)

@mcaekey, would you happen to know the expiry date please? I wonder how long after expiry can these be taken? Its for my Dad who is recovering. Thank you.

Not sure sorry, but they do say best before so theoretically they're fine for ages. I have some from May and they're all good.

That stuff is vile but if you need it, better price!

What is a good Green powder these days > I saw Zest at half price (expires in a month ) at $50 . Still expensive
