    • People need to make sure they read it all properly and know what they are agreeing to . To not have any will at all could create a nightmare for someone to sort out.

  • i am sure chatgpt can give you what u want and then get it signed properly via JP and witness

    • Can you elaborate on this?

      • You dont need to have a will done by a lawyer.
You can do DIY ones if your needs are simple.
Just write it up. Take it to a JP and a witness to confirm its you and your document and you have a will.

        • This was my understanding. I know that part of the fee paid to a solicitor also includes storage of the will - so almost a piece of mind factor.

    • To be fair you still need a JP and a witness if you wanted to use this Will as well.

I was wondering if Chatgpt had come far enough to generate something like a Will. It does an alright job for CVs.

I just dont know the wording and structure of a Will to compare.

      • if you prompt it well, i am sure you can get a decent simple will out of it. plus you can ask chatgpt if i were making a will what questions i need to answer that helps you draft my will. make chatgpt guide you to get what you want . Then once you have a draft, put it to another AI like google's gemini and get it reviewed so few rounds and it will be done.

I got one of these free wills last year and today I got an email to say I had been charged a $15 annual renewal. I didn't realize that although I had entered my CC for a free will, and wasn't charged, that it had automatically signed me up to a future annual subscription to modify it. So I would recommend making sure you disable that subscription if you don't want that subscription to modify it.
