[North Island] Fresh Fruit Grapes Seedless Green and Red Imported Loose $3.99/kg @ Woolworths (Selected in-Store Only)

70

Thanks to the OriginalPost, I went in today wanting to get some $5.90/kg grapes, to my surprise they have lowered the price to $3.99/kg. Cheapest I have ever seen.

The online advertised price is still at $5.90/kg, so this price is only available in store.

I am also not sure if this is in every woolworths store in North Island, so it pays to go in and check. I am in Welly Region.

Grapes are the one thing where I always try one before buying.

      • Is that still a thing? I thought it was something that was only acceptable back in the 90s.

For sure, but nobody is forcing you to do it.

You can buy bad grapes, and then grin, bear it, and eat them anyway, thrown them away, or spend the time to take them back, and get a refund processed if that's your preference :-)

You mean stealing? Yes, it's absolutely a thing

      • What!!!

    • Has anyone noticed that being a thing recently. Grapes that don't even taste like grapes. But rather an acrid, chemical flavour

Definitely quite variable in my experience.

Personally, I prefer green grapes, as they are less sweet, but the kids want the red ones (sugar!)

However, as above, I would always try one before buying, unlike @Discount Code who seems to prefer to take the risk ;-)

Damn I got some yesterday for $5.90… Not that they're worth it even at the discounted price, they're really bad grapes…

    • I got their $9 green grapes int he plastic box and they are good. Glad now that i didnt go for the bag

  • Yikes I just bought a big bag last night. Haven't tried them but I hope they aren't bad. Do they allow refunds just because of taste?

It was $5.90/kg in Cluadelands one, so maybe on selected stores.

  • They clearly know they are horrible grapes if they are selling them that cheap

I bought both red and green. The green are definitely awful. Red is decent.
