What is the Status Credit gift?
As a token of appreciation for your continued loyalty, Qantas will be gifting Status Credits to eligible members. They will be added to your account by 30 September 2025.

Who is eligible for the Status Credit gift?
All Platinum One, Platinum, Gold and Silver Frequent Flyers will receive the gift. This includes members on Lifetime Status, Status Hold and members who received complimentary status. Bronze Qantas Frequent Flyers who have earned or used Qantas Points at least once in the last 18 months are also eligible to receive the gift.

When will I receive the Status Credit gift?
The table below outlines the expected dates the gift is to be credited to eligible members' Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts.

How many Status Credits will I receive as part of the Status Credit gift?
The number of Status Credits received is based on the Qantas Frequent Flyer tier you are on 28 August 2025.

Please note: If you achieve a higher Frequent Flyer status between 28 August 2025, and the date the gifted Status Credits appear in your account, you will receive the amount corresponding to the new, higher status. If your status is downgraded during this time, you will still receive the amount that was communicated to you.

What will the Status Credit gift count towards?
The Status Credit gift will contribute towards reaching and keeping Silver, Gold, Platinum and Platinum One annual status. The Status Credit gift will not contribute towards Lifetime Silver, Lifetime Gold or Lifetime Platinum status or any other bonuses, including the Loyalty Bonus, Platinum Bonus Reward and Platinum One Bonus Reward. The Status Credit gift will also not contribute toward Status Accelerators / Fast Track offers.

Can I request to change the date when the gift is credited to my account?
No, you can not elect the date your Status Credit gift is credited. Requests to change dates will not be considered.

Do I need to register to receive the Status Credit gift?
No, we will automatically credit your account with the Status Credits. There is no need to call the contact centre or register to claim your gift.

If I have already reached my Status goal, can I request another gift type?
Qantas appreciates that some members will benefit from the Status Credit gift more than others; however, an alternative gift will not be provided.

Where will I be able to see the Status Credit gift?
You will be able to view the Status Credit gift on your activity statement and updated Status Credit balance in My Account on qantas.com or in the Qantas App. The transaction line item will appear as ‘Thank you for your loyalty’ by 30 September 2025.

How long will the Status Credits be valid for?
The Status Credits will be valid until the end of the Membership Year in which they are credited.

How many Status Credits do I need to reach a higher status?
The number of Status Credits required to keep and reach a higher status has not changed and varies by tier. The minimum eligible Qantas Group flight rule also applies. See here for more information.

Can I request to have the Status Credit gift removed?
It’s a member’s responsibility to comply with their organisations policies. You can request to have the Status Credits removed, by calling the Qantas Frequent Flyer Service Centre.
Qantas Points bonus gift

What is the Qantas Points gift?
In September 2025, Qantas will credit eligible members' accounts with a Qantas Points gift to thank them for their loyalty.

Who is eligible for the Qantas Points gift?
All Qantas Frequent Flyers who hold Points Club or Points Club Plus membership as at 28 August 2025.

When will I receive the Qantas Points gift?
If eligible, the Qantas Points gift will be credited to your account by 30 September 2025.

Will the Qantas Points gift contribute towards Points Club membership?
Yes, the Qantas Points gift will contribute toward the Points Club and Points Club Plus membership requirements.

How many Qantas Points will I receive for the gift?
Points Club Plus members will receive 5,000 Qantas Points and Points Club members will receive 2,500 Qantas Points.

Do I need to register to receive the Qantas Points gift?
No, we will automatically credit your account with the Qantas Points by 30 September. There is nothing you need to do and no need to call the contact centre or register to claim them.

Where will I be able to see the Qantas Points gift?

If I am a Points Club or Points Club Plus member and also hold Silver status or higher, will I receive both gifts?
Yes. Points Club and Points Club Plus members who also hold Silver, Gold, Platinum or Platinum One status will receive both a Qantas Points and Status Credit gift.

Can I request to have the Qantas Points gift removed?
