DJI Air 3S Fly More Combo (RC2) $2478 Primate, $2488 Non Member, + $6.50 Shipping (Non Member, Free with Primate) @ Mighty Ape

30

Awesome price for an awesome drone. I recently sold my Mini 4 Pro to get this, for $2565 (special pricing through work) normally $2789. Over $300 off at Mighty Ape!

A dual-camera drone designed for travel photography, DJI Air 3S integrates a suite of advanced technologies. Featuring a 1-inch-CMOS primary camera and a 70mm medium tele camera, each with up to 14 stops of dynamic range, Air 3S captures landscapes, portraits, and more in stunning detail. Both cameras support the new Free panorama feature, which allows flexible shooting-range selections. Additional new highlights include nightscape obstacle sensing and next-gen Smart RTH for enhanced safety during nighttime photography. In each and every way, DJI Air 3S is designed to maximize every aerial moment.

Features

1″ CMOS Primary Camera: 14 stops of dynamic range, 3.2μm large pixel size, 24mm format equivalent, and 50MP resolution, capture vast landscapes day and night.

70mm Medium Tele Camera: 48MP 1/1.3” CMOS sensor, matching the primary camera’s video specs and color modes while offering 3× optical zoom for expressive portrait shots.

Dual-Camera 4K/60fps HDR Video: Uses H.265 encoding while supporting 4K/60fps HDR video, 4K/120fps video, and 10-bit D-Log M color mode.

Free Panorama: Capture seamless panoramic shots with Free panorama mode, which stitches together multiple images with a manually selected subject or area.

Nightscape Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing: Forward-facing LiDAR, downward infrared ToF sensor, and three pairs of vision sensors allow nightscape to detect and avoid obstacles.

Next-Gen Smart RTH With Enhanced Precision: DJI Air 3S can memorize flight paths in well-lit environments for safe returns, even when taking off from areas without satellite signals.

45-Min Flight Time and 20km Video Transmission: With up to 45 minutes of flight time, Air 3S gives you enough time to scout locations, compose, nail your shots, and do it all over again and again. DJI O4 video transmission provides 10-bit video transmission at 1080p/60fps for distances up to 20 km, offering smother live feeds.

Always Ready: 42GB of Built-in Storage: DJI Air 3S comes standard with 42GB of built-in storage. This allows you to start recording right away and avoid having to deal with microSD cards.

Off-State QuickTransfer: You can now send files from your Air 3S to a smartphone even when the drone is powered off. Transfers to a computer can also be done with the drone powered off—simply connect Air 3S via a compatible USB cable.

Battery Charging Hub with Power Accumulation: The Battery Charging Hub supports PD fast charging and a power accumulation function, which allows you to transfer the remaining power of multiple low-power batteries into the battery with the highest remaining power.

I don't know man, I find it so strict to fly drones in New Zealand. Bought my Air2S couple years ago and barely used, because anywhere you look in the flight map thingy, you are not allowed to Fly your drone. Or you have to ask permission to God to allow you to fly it. Honestly, I think if the drone is for work, fine. Otherwise better off buying some really cheap one.

You can fly most areas/places, DOC land you have to submit a request, and no flying 4kms within an airdrome/airport for obvious reasons, Auckland council lets you fly in most parks, public spaces without a permit.

NZ has pretty relaxed drone laws, just dont be a dick and annoy people. Have got some awesome footage, photos in NZ, I mainly use mine when I travel overseas.

Unless they don't enforce it… because it clearly states you cannot fly over private property, which means pretty much everywhere. And public parks most of the time is a no no, unless you ask for counci permission.

        • Are you in Auckland? Auckland Council lets you fly in most places except a few like the zoo, one tree hill etc

Most of my shots are of nature etc so not flying over private property much.

    • I thought most places are ok just keep under the tallest structure to you like a tree, not over people's property, not invasive or disruptive to other people and not a restricted area. Also must be LOS.
Like you obv can't go to a public beach and fly over everyone lol

  • Anyone who wants some fun on a budget as well. Like you want to just fly for fun the bugs 3 mini (no footage) is good I got mine yrs ago and its really fun. Not sure what the next best model would be now ahaha.
Nice to learn on before you go to FPV drones ;)

    • Probably the mini 4 pro, mini 5 pro is coming out at some point this year so the mini 4 should drop in price.
