Air frying would be the same result, after about 11 minutes at 180deg the cheese oozes out (also a sign that they are ready :D)

Pro tip - deep (or shallow) fry rather than bake to avoid all the filling oozing out during cooking
The first few times I ended up with a cheesy-jalapeno dip and some empty crumb pockets
