  In the T&C "I acknowledge that all roads remain open for this event and that road rules apply at ALL times during the event."
  So you can cycle on the road at the same time as they run their event without entering.

  Even with the discount it costs more than $1 per km to ride around the lake. Like all events costs have blown out mainly due to road management and so out of reach for many like myself
