If you, your family or a friend needs assistance through the Airport because they have a Hidden Disability like Autism, ADHD, Epilepsy, Dementia or anything else that could make things harder when going through an airport. You can wear one of these lanyards to make staff aware, and if you are feeling overwhelmed, staff can slow down a process for you and offer extra assurance.
“Please keep in mind that a sunflower lanyard won't help you get through queues faster or provide a personal escort or wheelchair through your airport journey.”
I live in Auckland and managed to request a Lanyard through Auckland Airport, and they posted it to my address free of charge, I don't know if they post outside of Auckland but maybe give it a try anyway? Especially since you may need to go through Auckland airport for a lay over.
Otherwise here are all the airports and their links, if you live closer to any of those, they might be easier to get posted from.
