Bunnings have updated their prices to 15.90 so price match won't work any more.
Well.. in theory you could go back to Mitre10 and price beat Bunnings so you get 15% off to be $13.52
Tried that and they refused… The competitor's price has to be lower for them to apply the discount. Same price means no price beat.
Shortly they made it the same price, but prior to that it was $16 vs 15.90
According to mitre10s marketing email tonight, they have dropped their price to from $16 to $15.90

Just had x4 price promised to Bunnings. The woman said that she's had a few come through today. Nice.
Was able to buy it for $13.60 at Mitre10. They told me the price was actually $15.90 instead of $16. I told them it was false advertising since it's listed as $16 both online and in-store, so they eventually honored it.
Both Mitre10 and Bunnings are now at $15.90. You can still price promise each one for the other at each or other store and get a 15% discount. Stock up, chances are they won't let this happen again.
I believe this only works if the other store is cheaper, how would you convince them to honor a price promise if it’s the same price? I will give it a go soon if you have tips haha
Good point. Both M10 and Bunnings T&C's state lower price, not same price or lower. May or may not work. Still worth a shot.
