Burger King Birthday Burger Hack

I have the Birthday Burger & Fries deal in my app. Because this voucher is normally only redeemable through online ordering, any stores where the mobile Ordering system isn't working, they are required to put the deal through manually.

Which has no connection to your app.

So it doesn't use up or expire the voucher.

So you can have the voucher in your app, show the counter crew, they put it through as a Birthday Burger & Fries Deal, and you can do this over and over, at any BK where you can't use the mobile ordering. And you can choose which burger you want, but the default is Whopper, and it's what you'll get unless you ask for something different.

I only made this realisation yesterday, but I've had the voucher in my app all month.

I don't know if the voucher expires out of your app once your birthday month is over. The T's & C's don't mention an expiry date at all. I'll report back on Tuesday, unless someone else can confirm this.

Go forth and hungus out on BK to your tummy's content. Dependant on your morals & ethics, of course ;)

    Actually… just looked at the email I got for the voucher, and it says it expires after 60 days. So you have your Birthday month, and the month after, to use it.

      Yeah I think it's a new thing. I've never had Birthday deals from them in the past. Have added it to the Birthday Deals Wiki

    T’s & C’s state the offer isn’t available for redemption in-restaurant. So, at their own discretion they could reject the offer entirely despite the lack of mobile ordering access currently?

      I enquired about this with their online support chat, and the person said that the affected stores have been instructed to accept the deal manually. Because there is no code, it doesn't get tied or connected to your account in any way, so it doesn't get removed from your app.

      So you could go in as often as you wanted, show them the deal, and ask them to put it through. It's listed as a "Birthday Burger & Fries Deal" or something along those lines, as that's what appears on the receipt.

      I can confirm that it's still listed in my app, even though it was my birthday last month. So I guess it's valid for the 60 days, as advised in the initial email.

    Tried to redeem my birthday burger instore yesterday, 15 mins later walked out empty handed except for arguement with partner…I wasn't buying lunch out of principal if they can't honour this when their website is not working, it showed it could be done on their till at the counter when punched in.

    Yeah it's in their POS system as birthday burger and fries deal. They just find it, press the button, and boom!

    Every time I've gone in it's taken a few mins and a chat to manager, but I've never been declined.

    This is at Johnsonville and Porirua in Wellington.

    This actually doesnt work.

    OP was just lucky enough to get someone who didnt know how to put it through properly.

    They take your code. Input it, and it comes ofd the app

      Well.. I'll continue to go to those BK's for the next 3 weeks then :D

      And actually… I went to a different BK again last night, and they did the code thing, yet it didn't remove it (or again, they didn't do it properly).. and it's still there :P

        I dont doubt therw are plenty of staff who dont know how its meant to be done and jist put it theough the till (which doesn't seem to promp for the code.)

        But thats the way it has always worked. Same for any other special offer. You select it, give them your code, and it goes from the offers, and you get the points. They, and people who use the app, have just got used to orders via the app, since its pretty are someone with the app offere orders manually and gives their code for the points/offer.

        Its not a definately going to happen. If they ask the manager how to do it, or you get the manager they will put it through properly.

      To redeem the offer you must be an active Royal Perks member and must have entered the correct date of birth in the registration form when signing up. You cannot receive the birthday offer if you signed up less than 48 hours before your birthday. Royal Perks eligibility terms apply

      In my experience, I got it on the first day. I had already been signed up to the BK Rewards for a long time though.

    I've just used this. Thank you for posting it.
    A couple of days ago I added "my birthday" as this month in the BK app under account info. It took a couple of days to activate, but I now have a free burger and fries for the next two months. They even tapped the code into their computer.
    My daughters were stoked, they get BK for lunch and my burger and fries were free.

        I put it two days into the future. I didn't play around with dates at all. It took two days for it to appear. The T&C's state 48 hours.

    Yeah.. it's been changed slightly in that there is now a "Redeem in Restaurant" option… however it is glitched because when they put the code in, you get a notification in your app but it doesn't redeem the voucher.

    They still need to enter the deal in manually through the POS system.

    And it's still free. I used it again today :D
