I imagine the same as everywhere else… They got bought up and thus the new company working on different margins
Not all Gulls were as cheap before, Whenuapai was particularily cheap, I was surprised when I moved here but that must be it, suddenly they are the same or more expensive and went from one discounted day every three weeks to one every week. I gotta get them to stop sending me sms cos they are weekly now, it was handy when the discounts were not so often but they were very substancial so I didn't want to miss them.
since they are now Two discount days a week, they have decided to just max out on the profit margins on regular non discount days
Not buying, it's over $2.40 a litre.
I guess I'll walk or bike until OPEC increases output next month and US stops bombing Iran (although Iran sells 80% of it's embargoed oil to China)
Gull Whenuapai used to be an average of 15c cheaper than the BP right across the road til a year ago that they become the same or more expensive always, it hardly ever is cheaper than the BP now. Really wonder what happened there.
