2kg for $3, usually $7.50. Works out $15 for 10kg (Currently $14 for a 5kg bag at Woolworths and $17.59 for 5kg at Pak'n Save). If you're an Everyday Rewards member you can buy a 1kg bag for $3.20(woolworths.co.nz), but remember that's a members only deal, the 2kg $3 deal is for everyone, but if you're an Everyday Rewards member only you get offered the deal where you can pay 20c more for 50% less rice if you want to.

Cool - let's buy it here, and send it to Japan.
It's highly tariffed unfortunately
;-P
4 cents a kg ( local regular to consumer Varieties like this one )in India via public distribution system , ie if your below poverty line ie earn less then 1 $ a day .
a good quality popular varieties will cost about 1 to 2 $ a kg ( even when i was a kid 15 years ) so this is like a steal
I bought some 1kg ones the other week. Had to check the expiry date. A lot of them already expired, some expired Sep 24. So make sure you check 2kg expiry date before you purchase too!
Mine are all Feb 27 2026
Thats very good
Rice, expiring? Really?
Rice, expiring? Really?
My thought exactly - as long as they are properly sealed and kept in a reasonable place, they'll be good for years.
Brown rice will become rancid and will smell bad, same with wholemeal flour. But white rice and white flour will last a lot longer.
You buy the expired stuff and then take it back to Woolworths… Show them and say youll keep it and get your moneybsck too!!!
not sure about expired but around covid times some bags ( i mean the rice in the newly opened bag) we had some very strange smell it was not expired i took it to woolworths they were like sure they gave refund ( we had 4 , 10 kg bags ) i had the docket it was online order, we go through lot of gains and rice we rarely eat processed food mostly whole foods
Anyone know when this sale ends?
Usually their specials go for a week, starting Monday and finishing at midnight on the Sunday.
You're very flippant about that pricing - I would be flippin' mad if I bought 1kg for $3.20 then saw your post.
